The West Grampian Deer Management Group (WGDMG) in located in the region of Perth and Kinross and covers an area of approx. 76,500 hectares. The area covered by WGDMG lies largely in the area to the north of the A924 between Kirkmichael and Pitlochry and the area north of the A9 between Pitlochry and the Pass of Drumochter.
The West Grampian DMG formally comprised a much larger group — the Grampian DMG, but this was split into three more manageable units.
The WGDMG was one of the first DMGs to be formed. There is ongoing collaboration between the three former DMGs.
